Funeral services for Mary Boyd Eubank, 96, of Lavon were Jan. 27, 2010, at First United Methodist Church of Farmersville. Interment followed at Thompson Cemetery in Copeville.

The Rev. Chuck Aaron and the Rev. Jimmy Guvvala officiated.

Mrs. Eubank died Jan. 24. in Farmersville.

She was born April 13, 1913, in Murphy to the late Johnnie and Ruby Turner Boyd. She married R.E. (Gene) Eubank July 21, 1934, in Murphy, and taught Sunday school for 40 years at the First United Methodist Church of Farmersville where she had been a member for 52 years.

Survivors include her husband, R.E. Eubank of Farmersville; daughters, Phyliss NeSmith of Lavon, Barbara Turner and her husband Tommy of Wylie and Martha Moses and her husband Dana of Garland; grandchildren, Amy Boerner and her husband David of Lavon, Jason Moses of Lavon and Emily Turner of Wylie; great-grandchildren, Christopher Boerner and Nicholas Boerner of Fort Worth and Colton Moses of Lavon; many nieces and nephews, the entire staff of Hinton Home Nursing Home and special care givers, Victoria Lira and Lulu Torres.

Arrangements were under the direction of Hurst’s Fielder-Baker Funeral Home, Inc. of Farmersville.
