Wylie East brings home hardware from Skills USA event

Students from Wylie East High School won three medals at the Skills USA District Championship held at Texas A&M-Commerce Feb. 22. Three teams will advance to the state competition.

Winning gold in Digital Cinematography were Hayden Scroggins and Dillon Robert Kline. Their work can be seen at http://youtu.be/uM0RTiyfGMY.

The Broadcast News Production team brought home a silver medal. Those students include Darian Jones and Jacob Garcia, anchors, Tyus Allen, floor director, and Evans Biney, technical director.

Hakim Norman and Chase Dillard won bronze for their TV/Video Production entry, which can be seen at youtu.be/SO8ngleZM_A.

Their sponsor is Andrea Henderson.
