Scott earns another regional berth

Wylie East’s Sarah Scott placed sixth out of 52 varsity girls at the Oct. 27 District 10-4A cross country meet at McKinney Myers Park.

Running an 11:46 on the 2-mile course, the sophomore earned a repeat trip to the Region II meet, which takes place Saturday at Arlington Vandergriff Park.

In 2010, Scott placed fifth overall in the district meet and then followed with another fifth-place finish at regional that qualified her for a state appearance.
