For all the football fans out there, there is another game in town.
Wylie Preparatory Academy is in its third year of fielding a six man high school football team that competes in TCAF (Texas Christian Athletic Fellowship) Division II, District 2. They have an established junior high program as well. Wylie Prep also fields teams in volleyball, basketball, track and golf.
Head Coach and athletic director Brad Schupbach said the football program started in 2008 with "eight kids in junior high." The program has expanded to 17 in junior high and 12 on varsity.
