Despite the much-needed rain that fell on Collin County last week, lake levels are still dangerously low. Members of Wylie City Council voted Oct. 11 to go along with the recommendation by North Texas Municipal Water District and move to stage 3 water restrictions Nov. 1.

The most significant change is that landscape watering with sprinklers or irrigation systems is limited to once every two weeks between Nov. 1 and March 31. There are no time restrictions. The specific day  on which residents may water will be determined by their trash pick up days. 

Until Nov. 1, residents may water once a week, on their trash day, with no watering between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.
