Mr. Honzell married the former Loretta Young Jan. 26, 1951, in Fort Worth. 

Having previously resided in Fort Worth, Richland Hills, and Garland, the Honzells have lived in Wylie for the past 33 years. They are members of First Baptist Church Wylie where Mr. Honzell has taught an adult Sunday School class for many years.

Children of the couple are the late Phyllis Honzell; Karen (and Marvin) Stebbins of Garland; David Honzell of Royse City; and Sara (and David) Chambers of Dripping Springs. They have eight grandchildren: Brett, Rachael, Zachary, Holly, Seth, Haley, Nathan and Brook, and  two great-grandchildren, Ivy Kate and Grant. 

The couple has built their life on 1 Corinthians 13, their daughter Karen Stebbins said: “Love always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.”
