Pirates best Kimball's Knights
Pirates are the home team in Region matchup

The Pirates pilloried the Kimball Knights 42-14.
They face West Mesquite for the regional championship with a 4 p.m. kickoff Friday at Cowboys Stadium. Wylie is the home team.
West Mesquite toppled Sherman 55-34 with a second-half rout.
Pirates tailback Vincent Bryan had touchdown runs of 16 and 3 yards. Quarterback Nico Ramirez carried in from a yard out. Wideouts Trever Fields and Jacob Benator scored on pass receptions of 38 and 14 yards respectively.
The defense added to the point total when Tyler Rice wrapped up the Knights quarterback who then made an ill-advised attempt at a lateral pitch. The fumble was scooped up by Tyler Mathers who carried in from four yards out.
Tickets may be purchased Monday through Wednesday at American National Bank in Wylie and at Inwood Bank of Wylie during regular lobby hours. They are also available from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at the main entrance to the WHS home basketball games.

Presale tickets are $8 student and $10 adult. All tickets are $12 at the gate. Parking should be available for $10 in the lots surrounding Cowboys Stadium.
Make plans to come out for the Pirates sendoff Friday at 10:30 a.m. The team will depart on charter buses from the parking lot in front of Wylie Stadium.
